Terms for using Cycle2Connect

Acceptance of Terms

By accessing, using, or signing up for the Services, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use, or sign up for the Services.

Description of Services

Cycle2Connect provides the following services:

• Cycling activity tracking
• CO₂ savings calculations
• Leaderboards and rankings (including individual, team, and university-based rankings)
• Event and group participation
• Community engagement features

We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Services at any time, with or without notice.

User Accounts

To access certain features of the Services, users may be required to create an account. Users must:

• Provide accurate, current, and complete information
• Maintain the confidentiality of their login credentials
• Not share their account with others
• Not impersonate any person or entity

You are responsible for all activities that occur under your account. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.

Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Use the Services for any unlawful or unauthorized purpose
• Upload, post, or transmit any harmful, malicious, or misleading content
• Manipulate or artificially generate activity data (including through GPS spoofing or similar methods)
• Interfere with or disrupt the integrity, security, or performance of the Services
• Harass, abuse, or harm other users

Any attempt to gain an unfair advantage in leaderboards or rankings, including cheating or data manipulation, may result in account suspension, termination, or disqualification from rankings.

Health & Safety disclaimer

Cycle2Connect does not provide medical, health, or fitness advice. You acknowledge and agree that you are solely responsible for:

• Assessing your physical condition and fitness to participate in cycling activities
• Riding safely and responsibly
• Complying with all applicable traffic laws and regulations

Use of the Services while cycling must not distract you from maintaining full attention to road conditions and safety. You assume all risks associated with cycling and the use of the Services.

Intellectual Property

All content, trademarks, software, and design elements of the Services are the property of Cycle2Connect or its licensors and are protected by applicable intellectual property laws.

Users may not:

• Copy, reproduce, or distribute any part of the Services
• Reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract source code
• Modify or create derivative works based on the Services
• Commercially exploit any part of the Services without prior written consent

Except as expressly permitted in these Terms, no rights or licenses are granted to you.

Data & User content

Users retain ownership of their activity data and any content they submit to the Services. By using the Services, you grant Cycle2Connect a limited license to:

• Process and store your data
• Display activity statistics
• Calculate rankings and leaderboard positions
• Generate aggregated insights

This license is granted solely for the purpose of operating, improving, and providing the Services. Aggregated and anonymized data may be used for analytics, research, and the improvement of Cycle2Connect services.

Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, the Services are provided on an "as is" basis, without warranties of any kind.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Cycle2Connect shall not be liable for:

• Any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages
• Loss of data, profits, revenue, or business opportunities
• Any damages arising from your use of or inability to use the Services
• Data loss or inaccuracies caused by user actions or misuse of the Services

Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts for:

• Violations of these Terms
• Fraudulent, abusive, or deceptive behaviour
• Security risks or suspected unauthorized access

Users may delete their accounts at any time, subject to any applicable data retention obligations. Upon termination, your right to access and use the Services will immediately cease. We may retain certain data as required by law or for legitimate business purposes.

Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify, update, or replace these Terms at any time, at our sole discretion. When changes are made, we will update the "Last Updated" date at the top of these Terms.

Your continued use of the Services after any such changes constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms. If you do not agree with the updated Terms, you must stop using the Services and, if applicable, delete your account.

Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Slovenia. Disputes shall be resolved in Slovenian courts unless otherwise required by EU law.
